Equipment Rental Forecast for 2014
Equipment Rental Forecast for 2014
With the New Year now
here, people want to know what is in store for the "equipment
rental industry" in 2014. Unfortunately we do not have crystal
ball but we can make a few predictions based on how 2013 ended and where the
industries' trends have been headed.
Top Heavy Equipment Rental Trends to watch for
in 2014
- The market for small mobile machines such as skid-steer loaders
and compact excavators will continue to grow much as it did last
year.
- Road construction will continue to remain flat in 2014
- Look to see more package deliveries. Rental equipment will be
brought to the consumer's front door step for convenience
- Section 179 could eliminate some tax perks for construction
workers. In turn, this could lead to less equipment rental
In conclusion, it is safe to 2014 has a lot of
potential for success and disaster. The section 179 ruling by the government
will have a significant impact on the industry, as will storms and disasters.
While natural disaster such as tornados or hurricanes are very dangerous, clean
up efforts call for heavy equipment rentals. These rentals are great for
rebuilding projects and the industry itself.
